Abstract
Ro-Ro tehonologiju možemo opisati kao suvremenu vrstu transportne tehonologije koja se poistovjećuje sa karakteristikama Ro-Ro brodova. Glavni element ove pomorsko-kontinentalne tehnologije je teret, tj. jedinične strukture tereta transportnog sustava. Tako se ova tehnologija danas javlja kao transporter različitih vrsta tereta. Još jedna sastavna komponenta su i lučki terminali koji služe za realizaciju ove prekrcajne tehnologije. Iz toga svega proizlazi jedna proizvoljna definicija plovnog transportnog sredstva Ro-Ro tehnologije koja opisuje i njezinu suštinu rada: u Ro-Ro brodove spadaju brodovi za transport raznih vrsta tereta čiji se najveći dio prekrcava po sistemu 'ukotrljaj/iskotrljaj' (Roll on – Roll off) preko brodske, obalne ili plovne rampe. Na samom višepalubnom brodu teret se razvozi po palubama pomoću fiksnih i pokretnih (mobilnih) rampi i posredstvom specijalnih liftova ili platformi.
Abstract (english)
Ro-Ro technology can be described as a modern type of transport technology that matches the characteristics of Ro-Ro vessels. The main element of this sea-land transportation system is the load, i.e. the unit load structure. Today, this technology is a carrier of different types of cargo. Another structural component is the introduction of port terminals used for the realization of this transhipment technology. This results in an arbitrary definition of the Ro-Ro technology of waterborne transport, which describes its very essence: Ro-Ro ships include various kinds of vessels that handle most of their cargo using the roll on / roll off concept, i.e. the cargo loaded on trucks, semi-trucks and trailers is moved over the ship’s, coastal or floating ramps. On these multi-deck ships, the load is distributed across the decks by fixed and mobile ramps and through special lifts or platforms.
