Abstract
Od kad je čovjeka, uvijek je postojala potreba za dodatnim izvorom svjetlosti nakon zalaska sunca. U samim počecima ljudi su imali na raspolaganju samo vatru, no kroz stoljeća te otkrivanja novih tehnologija razvili su se novi izvori rasvjete. Prva „moderna“ rasvjeta je bila obična žarulja sa žarnom niti od koje je sve krenulo. Kroz daljnja nastojanja da se ta tehnologija unaprijedi otkriveni su mnogi načini za kreiranje svjetlosti poput fluorescentnih žarulja i poluvodičke tehnologije osvjetljenja. Tako danas imamo LED tehnologiju koja s ciljem povećanja ekonomičnosti napreduje iz dana u dan. Između ostalog, LED rasvjeta danas ima najduži vijek trajanja i najmanju potrošnju električne energije što je dovelo do tog da je svrhu pronašla u gotovo svakom uređaju koji danas poznajemo. Samim time dolazimo i do njezine upotrebe na brodovima, bilo to malim plovilima, raznoraznim platformama ili prekooceanskim brodovima. Uvjeti na brodu su nerijetko surovi za bilo kakve instalacije i tehniku, pa se iz godine u godinu radi na usavršavanju rasvjete, kao i ostalih tehnologija vezanih za pomorstvo i plovidbu.
Abstract (english)
Ever since there is a mention of human being, there has always been a need for additional source of light. From the very beginning, people only had a fire available, but over the centuries and with the discovery of new technologies, new sources of lighting were developed. The first "modern" lighting was a simple incandescent light that started everything. Further efforts to advance this technology have uncovered many ways to create light, such as fluorescent bulbs and semiconductor lighting technology. So today we have LED technology that is progressing day by day with the goal of increasing cost efficiency. Among other things, LED lighting today has the longest life span and the lowest power consumption, which is why it has found its purpose in almost every device known today. Also it has found it's use on ships, whether it's small vessel, various platforms or overseas vessels. Onboard conditions are often harsh for any type of installations and technology, so every year there is tendency to perfect lighting systems, as well as other navigation related technologies.
