Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je navesti članove posade i objasniti njihove uloge na regatnoj jedrilici duljine 40 stopa. U prvom dijelu rada analizirani su tipovi regatnih polja, prividni vjetar i načini jedrenja u različitim smjerovima puhanja vjetra, dok su u drugom opisani članovi posade, njihove uloge i izvođenje manevara u regatnim poljima. Regate dijelimo na privjetrina – zavjetrina i navigacijske regate. Osnovni sastav regatne posade čine bowman, pitman, trimer genove i spinakera, trimer glavnog jedra, taktičar i kormilar. Izgradnja sve većih, luksuznijih i kvalitetnijih regatnih jedrilica dovela je do potrebe za dodatnim članovima kao što su čovjek pod jarbolom poznat kao bowman 2 i trimer genove i spinakera 2.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this work was to list crew members and to explain their respective roles on a racing sailboats of length 40 feet. First part of this work gives analysis of racing fields, apparent wind and modality of sailing in circumstances of different wind directions, while in second part are described crew members, their roles and conducting of maneuvers within racing fields. Regattas are divided into windward - leeward and navigational regatta. The basic constitution of racing crew are bowman, pitman, sheet trimmer, mainsheet trimmer, tactician and helmsman. Production of bigger, more luxurious and higher quality sailing boats brought to demand of additional crew members such as man under mast, known as mastman and trimmers mate.
