Determination of Anti - Müller's hormone (AMH) today is of great significance during fertility testing in women. AMH is considered to be an indirect indicator of the ovarian reserve because it provides information on the number of ovarian cells remaining and the age of ovaries. Due to the advantages of having over other ovarian markers, its determination increasingly plays an important role in the process of fertility testing. The aim of this study is to examine the correlation between the age of women and serum AMH concentration in order to verify the reference AMH intervals according to the age of the subjects. This is of utmost importance because the AMH values decrease with age. AMH concentrations were determined in 64 women between the ages of 20 and 50 by electrochemiluminiscent method (ECLIA) on the Cobas e411 (Roche Diagnostics) analyzer. The results are processed in the SSS (Social Science Statistics) statistics program. The subjects are divided into thre e subgroups by age. One subgroup was composed of women aged 20 to 29, the second subgroup of women aged 30 to 39, and the third subgroup of women between the ages of 40 and 50. Correlation coefficients for each subgroup and whole sample were compared. The results showed strong negative correlations, which goes in favor of reverse proportional according to age and AMH concentration. Also, correlations of individual groups showed a stronger association with the overall sample with the exception of the third age group. Our results thus confirmed the applicability of the reference intervals in our population.
