Abstract | U okviru ovoga diplomskog rada provedena je fitokemijska analiza polifenolnih spojeva iz nadzemnih
biljnih dijelova makedonske endemične vrste Micromeria kosaninii Šilić (Lamiaceae). Prisutnost
max.). Sadržaj ukupnih polifenola kretao se od 8,62±0,13% (720 nm, prema metodi) do 8,80±0,13%
(750 nm, max.), dok je udio trjeslovina bio u granicama od 2,76±0,15% (720 nm, prema metodi) do
2,83±0,13% (750 nm, max.). Provedena fitokemijska karakterizacija predstavlja doprinos
dosadašnjem istraživanju roda Micromeria i makedonskih endema te upotpunjuje znanstvene
spoznaje o biološkoj aktivnosti i fitoterapijskom potencijalu vrste Micromeria kosaninii Šilić. |
Abstract (english) | A phytochemical characterization of polyphenolic compounds in the aboveground parts of the
Macedonian endemic plant species Micromeria kosaninii Šilić (Lamiaceae) was carried out. The
presence of polyphenols was established through the usage of general chemical reactions of
developing colored products and precipitates. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) of the methanol
extract revealed the presence of naringin, quercitrin, isoquercitrin, chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic
acid, as well as caffeic and/or rosmarinic acid. Quantitative analyses of polyphenolics were carried
out using the spectrophotometric methods. The content of phenolic acids (PA), expressed as
rosmarinic acid, was 4.30±0.21% (505 nm, according to method) and 4.39±0.22% (495 nm, max.
abs.), while the PA content, expressed as chlorogenic acid, was 7.97±0.37%. The flavonoid content
was 0.07±0.01% (425 nm, according to method) and 0.08 ± 0.01% (421 nm, max. abs.). The total
polyphenolic yield was in range from 8.62±0.13% (720 nm, according to method) to 8.80±0.13%
(750 nm, max. abs.), while the tannin content varied from 2.76±0.15% (720 nm, according to
method) to 2.83±0.13% (750 nm, max. abs.). Conducted phytochemical characterization represents
a scientific contribution to the previous research of the genus Micromeria and Macedonian endemic
plant species, and also contributes to the existing knowledge concerning biological activity and
phytotherapeutic potential of Micromeria kosaninii Šilić. |
