Abstract
Osim nekoliko dobro poznatih načina isporuke lijeka razvijenih kako bi se olakšala kemoterapija s antitumorskim agensima, nedavno je ustanovljeno nekoliko novih pristupa, od kojih je primjena ultrazvuka na sustav isporuke lijekova posebno zaživio. Ovaj rad daje pregled ove novorazvijene metode isporuke lijekova do tumora i s time povezane antitumorske terapije temeljene na kombinaciji čiste fizikalne metode i specifičnih nosača lijekova. U ovom je radu sagledan jedan takav novi pristup kako bi se preispitale postojeće konvencionalne metode i predložile nove smjernice u prevladavanju problema malignih oboljenja.
Abstract (english)
In addition to several well-known drug delivery strategies developed to facilitate effective chemotherapy with anticancer agents, in recent time some new approaches have been established, based on specific effects arised by the application of ultrasound on drug delivery systems. This work gives an overview of newly developed method of drug delivery to tumors and related anticancer therapies based on the combined use of ultrasound and specific drug carriers. The conventional strategies and new approache have been put into perspective to revisit the existing and to propose new directions to overcome the threatening problem of cancer diseases.
