Abstract
Anestezija je postupak izazivanja neosjetljivosti. Dijeli se na opću i lokalnu (regionalnu) anesteziju. Lokalni anestetici su lijekovi koji se koriste za lokalnu anesteziju. Lokalni anestetici se mogu kombinirati s adrenalinom koji je agonist adrenergičkih receptora te uzrokujući vazokonstrikciju produljuje vrijeme trajanja lokalne anestezije i omogućava primjenu manje doze lokalnog anestetika. Lokalni anestetici i adrenalin mogu stupiti u interakcije s ostalim lijekovima. Interakcijom se smatra svaka promjena djelovanja lijeka uzrokovana drugim lijekom. Interakcije se dijele na farmakodinamičke i farmakokinetičke. Poznavanje interakcija lokalnih anestetika s često propisivanim lijekovima nužno je kako bi se spriječio mogući toksični učinak ili izostanak djelovanja lijeka. Lokalni anestetici stupaju u interakcije s drugim lokalnim anesteticima, benzodiazepinima, sulfonamidima i propranololom. Propranolol, triciklički antidepresivi, inhibitori monoaminooksidaze, fenotiazini, halogenirani opći anestetici, kardiotonici, lijekovi za supstituciju hormona štitnjače i kokain mogu stupiti u interakcije prilikom istovremene primjene s adrenalinom.
Abstract (english)
Anesthesia is a procedure which leads to a state of insensitivity. It is divided to general and local (regional) anesthesia. Local anesthetics are medicines used for local anesthesia. Local anesthetics can be combinated with epinephrine which is agonist of adrenergic receptors and it causes vasoconstriction which leads to longer duration of local anesthesia and enables usage of local anesthetic in lower concentration. Local anesthetics and epinephrin can cause interactions with other medications. An interaction is considered to be any change in the action of a drug caused by another drug. Interactions are divided into pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic. Knowledge of the interactions of local anesthetics with commonly prescribed drugs is necessary to prevent a possible toxic effect or lack of action of the drug. Local anesthetics interact with other local anesthetics, benzodiazepines, sulfonamides, and propranolol. Propranolol, tricyclic antidepressants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, phenothiazines, halogenated general anesthetics, cardiotonics, thyroid hormone replacement drugs, and cocaine may interact if used concomitantly with epinephrine.
