Abstract
Nanoemulzije predstavljaju relativno nov terpaijski sustav s nekoliko prednosti u usporedbi s klasičnim terpijskim oblicima. Naročito su zanimljivi kao topikalni oftalmički oblici jer omogućuju bolju apsorpciju lijeka kroz barijere oka. Pripravljeno je nekoliko nanoemulzija različitih sastava metodom spontanog emulgiranja te im je ispitana veličina čestica, indeks polidisperznosti i zeta potencijal. Najbolja svojstva pokazale su nanoemulzije kod kojih je kao surfaktant korišten Cremophor EL, a kako uljna faza Miglyol 812. Nanoemulzije tog sastava koje su pripremljene pri temperaturi od 70˚C pokazale su stabilnost tijekom najmanje 20 dana. Dodatkom stearilamina postignuto je povećanje zeta potencijala, no došlo je do destabilizacije nanoemulzija. Nanoemulzije s dodatkom kitozana imale su prihvatljivu veličinu čestica, ali veći indeks polidisperznosti. Korištenjem polisorbata kao surfkatanata u kombinaciji s Miglyolom 812 te sojinog, sezamovog i ricinusovog ulja u kombinaciji s Cremophorom EL nisu postignute nanoemulzije zadovoljavajućih svojstava.
Abstract (english)
Nanoemulsions are a relatively new drug delivery system with several advantages compared to classical formulations. They are especially interesting as ophthalmic formulations because they enable better absorption of drugs through the barriers of the eye. Several nanoemulsions of different compositions were prepared by spontaneous emulsifiation and their particle size, polidispersity index as well as zeta potential were determined. The best properties were observed in nanoemulsions containing Cremophor EL as the surfactant and Miglyol 812 as the oil phase. Nanoemulsions of that composition prepared at 70˚C were shown to be stable for a minimum of 20 days. Addition of stearylamine increased the zeta potential but caused destabilization of the nanoemulsions. Nanoemulsions with the addition of chitosan had acceptable particle size but their polidispersity index was larger. Using polysorbates as surfactants in combination with Miglyol 812, as well as using soybean, sesame, and castor oil in combination with Cremophor EL did not yield nanoemulsions of satisfactory properties.
