Abstract
Kostarika je smještena u Srednjoj Americi, država je s velikom bioraznolikošću. Zbog prekomjernog krčenja šuma tijekom prošlog stoljeća, nalazila se u velikim ekološkim problemima. Ipak, zbog nove politike kojom su poticali reforestaciju umjesto agrarne politike stanje se bitno popravilo. Pravim odlukama Kostarika je uspjela očuvati veliku bioraznolikost te postati glavni primjer očuvanja šume i okoliša u regiji, ako ne i u svijetu.
Abstract (english)
Costa Rica is located in Central America. It is a country with great biodiversity. During the last century, due to excessive deforestation, substantial environmental and ecological issues arose in Costa Rica. However, new reforestation policies, that were placed instead of agricultural policies, significantly improved the situation. With right decisions, Costa Rica managed to preserve its great biodiversity and become one of the key examples of forest and environment protection in the region, if not in the world.
