Abstract
Kritosjemenjače i kukci pripadaju najmnogobrojnijim i najrasprostanjenijim grupama živih bića na Zemlji. Međusobno dijele dugu koevolucijsku povijest i dan danas su iznimno povezani u različitim odnosima. Visoko specijalizirani i s velikim brojem ekoloških funkcija i niša sudjeluju u formiranju gotovo svih kopnenih ekosustava. Od predatorstva i kemijskih obrambenih mehanizama do mutualno korisnog oprašivanja, pratimo niz strategija i morfoloških promjena ovih skupina. Svi odnosi nisu jednostavni i još uvijek ne razumijemo sve njihove dijelove tako da smo daleko od konačnog objašnjenja kako i na koji način se cjelovita koevolucija dogodila.
Abstract (english)
Angiosperms and insect belong to the most numerous and widespread groups of living beings on Earth. Together they share a rich history and remain tightly connected in various forms to this day. Both are highly specialised and provide a variety of environmental functions, meanwhile providing bilogists and ecologists with a plethora of information. From predatory relationships and chemical defenses to mutually beneficial pollination, we follow the strategies and morphological chnages of these groups. Of course, not all relationships are simple, and some parts of the conclusive explanation on the coevolution of these two groups are missing.
