Abstract
Vransko jezero na Cresu golema je kriptodepresija u kojoj se nalazi 220 milijuna m3 pitke vode koja opskrbljuje stanovništvo otoka Cresa, Lošinja i Ilovika. Jezero se nalazi u središnjem dijelu otoka Cresa a njime upravlja komunalno društvo Vodoopskrba i odvodnja Cres Lošinj d.o.o. Vodovod je izgrađen sredinom 20. stoljeća, a danas direktno povezuje otoke Cres, Lošinj i Ilovik. Istraživanjima je dokazano da se jezerska voda obnavlja isključivo putem padalina na vlastitom slijevu.
Abstract (english)
Lake Vrana on Cres is a huge cryptodepression which contain 220 million m3 of drinking water that supplies the population of the islands Cres, Lošinj and Ilovik. The lake is situated in the middle part of the island Cres and is managed by the utility company Vodoopskrba i odvodnja Cres Lošinj Ltd. The aqueduct was built in the middle of the 20th century and connects directly the islands Cres, Lošinj and Ilovik. Research has shown that the lake water is renewed exclusively through precipitation in lake’s catchment.
