A karst polje can be defined as a large depression with flat bottom and a steep basin with an associated karst drainage system. Both in the Dinarides, as well as in the world, there are a large number of karst poljes, only a few of which have been explored in detail. The aim of this thesis was to contribute to the knowledge about karst poljes and to determine their borders, i.e. the edges of the bottom and the basin, to carry out an analysis using morphometric methods and to create a geomorphological map overview. Three karst poljes were analyzed: Krbavsko, Livanjsko and Duvanjsko polje. The main parameters for defining the edges of the bottom and the basin of the polje were determined, namely: slope inclination, profile curvature and topographic position index (TPI). By overlaying the mentioned parameters and comparing them with the auxiliary ones (topographic map, hypsometric map, exposure map and shadow relief), the borders of the edge of the bottom and the basin of the poljes were digitized. An analysis of morphometric parameters was carried out according to their classification and the share of the area they occupy in the bottom and on the basin of the polje. After that, a geomorphological analysis was carried out and an overview geomorphological map of the observed poljes was created, showing the selected forms.
