Abstract
Razumjevanje kvazičestičnih svojstva elektrona u 2D poluvodičkih materijalima u raznim okruženjima (poput drugih 2D materijali ili dielektričnih površina) važna je za njihovu moguću primjenu u izradi elektronskih sklopova kao što su foto-diode, laseri, tranzistori i drugi logički sklopovi. U ovom radu proučavamo kako prisutnost dopiranog grafena utječe na kvazičestična svojstva 2D kristala WS2, MoS2 i heksagonalnog borovog-nitrida (hBN) koji se intenzivno istražuju u zadnjih par godina. Koristeći DFT valne funkcije materijala kao podlogu za G0ΔW teoriju, dolazimo do modifikacije spektralne funkcije elektrona u spomenutim 2D kristalima zbog prisustva grafena koji se nalazi na 3 angstrema od njih. Proučavanjem spektralne funkcije elektrona u raznim točkama Brilliounove zone dolazimo do pomaka poluvodičkog procjepa koji uspoređujemo s drugim rezultatima iz literature te pokazujemo da energetski pomak vrpci u svim točkama Brilliunove zone nije rigidan. Na temelju razmatranja vlastite energije točkastog naboja u ovisi o njegovom položaju u 2D poluvodičima (MoS2, WS2 i hBN) pokazujemo da elektroski odziv u TMD-ovima (zarazliku od hBN-a) vrlo efikasno zasjenjuje utjecaj substrata i time štiti svoju vrpčastu strukturu od utjecaja substrata.
Abstract (english)
Understanding the quasiparticle properties of electrons in 2D semiconductor materials in various environments (such as other 2D materials or dielectric surfaces) is important for their possible application in the production of electronic circuits such as photo-diodes, lasers, transistors and other logic circuits. In this paper, we study how the presence of doped graphene affects the quasiparticle properties of 2D crystals WS2, MoS2 and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), materials that have been intensively researched in the last few years. Using the DFT wave function of the material as a basis for the G0ΔW theory, we arrive at a modification of the electron spectral function in the mentioned 2D crystals due to the presence of graphene which is located 3 angstroms away from them. By studying the spectral function of electrons in various points of the Brilliou zone, we arrive at the shift of the semiconductor gap, which we compare with other results from the literature and show that the energy shift of the bands in all points of the Brilliou zone is not rigid. Based on the consideration of the self-energy of a point charge in depends on its position in 2D semiconductors (MoS2, WS2 and hBN), we show that the electrical response in TMDs (a strain of hBN) very effectively overshadows the influence of the substrate and thus protects its ribbon structure from the impact of the substrate.
