Odabran je toplinski val koji je u kolovozu 2012. godine rezultirao ekstremno visokim temperaturama zraka i vrlo malim količinama oborine na području Hrvatske, a tako i Zagreba, u odnosu na dugogodišnje razdoblje. Korišteni su meteorološki podaci izmjereni radiosondažama za postaju Zagreb 24. kolovoza 2012. godine preuzeti iz sustava podataka Sveučilišta u Wyomingu. Uz pomoć tih podataka provedeno je pet simulacija modelom MUKLIMO_3 koje se razlikuju u temperaturi vodenih tijela te su dobivene satne vrijednosti temperature zraka, relativne vlažnosti zraka i vjetra na 2 m visine u odabranom danu između 4 h i 21 h na domeni Zagreba. Cilj rada bio je procijeniti jačinu i prostorna obilježja utjecaja vodenih tijela na toplinska obilježja grada Zagreba te tako ispitati mogućnost ublažavanja toplinskog opterećenja u gradu vodenim tijelima. Dobiveni rezultati pokazuju da vodena tijela mogu ohladiti Zagreb, no njihov je utjecaj prostorno i vremenski ograničen. Taj je utjecaj najveći u neposrednoj blizini vodenih tijela i opada s udaljenošću. Najveće ohlađivanje vodenim tijelima uočava se prijepodne kada je razlika između temperature vodenih tijela i njihove okoline najveća, a u ranim jutarnjim i kasnim večernjim satima toplija vodena tijela mogu zagrijati okolni zrak. Usporedbe temperature zraka u različitim simulacijama pokazuju da hladnija vodena tijela više ohlađuju okolni zrak nego što ga toplija vodena tijela zagrijavaju. Odstupanja u temperaturi zraka između simulacija najveća su u jutarnjim i večernjim satima te ovise o vjetru. Pokazano je da temperatura vodenih tijela također utječe na relativnu vlažnost zraka. Advekcija vjetrom može donekle povećati prostorni doseg utjecaja vodenih tijela na temperaturu i relativnu vlažnost zraka, ali se znatnije promjene uočavaju samo u njihovoj neposrednoj blizini.
Abstract (english) In this study, the influence of temperature of water bodies on the microclimatic characteristics of the city of Zagreb during a heatwave was analyzed. The heatwave that was chosen occurred in August 2012 and resulted in extremely high air temperatures and very little precipitation in Croatia, as well as Zagreb, compared to the long-term period. Meteorological data measured by radiosondes at the Zagreb station on August 24, 2012, was used, sourced from the University of Wyoming data system. Using this data, five simulations that differ in the temperature of water bodies were conducted with the MUKLIMO_3 model. Hourly values of air temperature, relative humidity, and wind at a height of 2 m were obtained for the selected day between 4 AM and 9 PM in the Zagreb domain. The aim of the study was to assess the magnitude and spatial characteristics of the impact of water bodies on the thermal characteristics of the city of Zagreb and thus examine the possibility of mitigating heat stress in the city using water bodies. The results show that water bodies can cool Zagreb, but their impact is spatially and temporally limited. The impact is the greatest in the immediate vicinity of the water bodies and decreases with distance. The greatest cooling by water bodies is observed in the morning when the difference between the temperature of the water bodies and their surroundings is the largest, while in the early morning and late evening, warmer water bodies can heat the surrounding air. Comparisons of air temperature in different simulations show that cooler water bodies cool the surrounding air more than warmer water bodies heat it. Deviations in air temperature between simulations are greatest in the morning and evening and depend on wind characteristics. Relative humidity of the air also depends on the temperature of the water bodies. Wind advection can somewhat increase the spatial range of the influence of water bodies on temperature and relative humidity, but significant changes are only found in their immediate vicinity.
