Dolines are one of the most characteristic karst formations, often considered diagnostic features of karst landscapes. Their spatial distribution and density are influenced by several factors. This paper presents an analysis of doline density based on various parameters such as elevation classes, slope gradient, slope aspect, vertical dissection of the relief, and geological substrate. Data on the locations of dolines were obtained by vectorizing 1:25,000 scale topographic maps, while general morphometric relief data were generated from a digital elevation model with a 5 x 5 m resolution. Three specific case studies were analyzed in more detail with a 1x1 m resolution DEM, which was produced using LiDAR scanning. Based on the identified doline boundaries, relief attributes such as area, perimeter, volume, and depth were calculated, along with an analysis of spatial statistics, including doline density and karst index. The dominant orientation of dolines is NW-SE, with a total of 14,857 dolines identified. Doline's density rate is high of 37.81 dolines/km². The highest doline density is found on limestones and dolomites, and the dolines are scattered throughout the whole study area. The analysis suggests a correlation between general morphometric relief characteristics and the occurrence and density of dolines.
