Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je predstaviti Montessori pedagogiju i pokazati njenu primjenu u nastavi matematike. Temeljne ideje Montessori pedagogije iznesene su kroz biografiju Marije Montessori i osnovne karakteristike Montessori pedagogije. Razvoj djeteta objašnjen je kroz tri razdoblja života i šest razdoblja posebne osjetljivosti. Navedena su stroga pravila pegagoški oblikovanog radnog okruženja. Objašnjena je važnost pedagoškog etosa i načela slobode na kojima se temelji pedagoška Montessori koncepcija. U radu su prikazani i objašnjeni različiti materijali i pribor za rad koji potiču razvoj djetetovog uma, s naglaskom na matematiku. Na kraju je navedeno nekoliko primjera Montessori aktivnosti koje su primjenjive u osnovnoškolskoj nastavi matematike.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper was to present Montessori pedagogy and demonstrate its application in mathematics teaching. The fundamental ideas of Montessori pedagogy are presented through the biography of Maria Montessori and the basic characteristics of Montessori education. The development of the child is explained through three life stages and six sensitive periods. Strict rules for the pedagogically designed work environment are outlined. The importance of pedagogical ethos and the principles of freedom, which form the foundation of the Montessori educational concept, are explained. The paper presents and explains various materials and tools that promote the development of the child’s mind, with an emphasis on mathematics. Finally, several examples of Montessori activities applicable in elementary school mathematics teaching are provided.
