Abstract
Brijunsko otočje sa 14 otoka i otočića smješteno je na južnom djelu zapadne obale Istre. Zajedno s okolnim morem i podmorjem proglašeno je Nacionalnim parkom 1983. godine. Dosadašnja geološka istraživanja bazirana su na nalazima otisaka stopala dinosaura i drugih gmazova koje na području brijunskog otočja možemo naći na nekoliko lokacija. Za potrebe ovog rada uzorkovane su naslage na šest lokaliteta na kojima su zabilježeni otisci stopala gmazova. Prikupljeni uzorci vapnenaca klasificirani su... More na temelju mikrofacijesa i paleontoloških nalaza u uzorcima. Paleontološkom analizom određen je fosilni sadržaj, od čega je značajan nalaz foraminifere Pseudonummoloculina heimi, provodne za gornji alb. Uzorci sa svih šest lokaliteta pripremljeni su za analize palinomorfa kako bi se odredilo postoje li ostaci spora i polena. Utvrđena je prisutnost polena Pinuspollenites sp. koji nažalost nije provodan, hife i spore gljiva roda Glomus, te spore zelenih algi Tasmanites sp. i Ovoidites sp. Iako nalazi polena i spora ne ukazuju na točniju stratigrafsku pripadnost istraživanih naslaga, njihova prisutnost nam, zajedno s ostalim mikrofosilnim sadržajem, daje informacije o paleookolišu tijekom starije krede te mogućem utjecaju kopnenih biljaka na plitkomorske platformne okoliše. Abstract (english)
The Brijuni archipelago with 14 islands and islets is located on the southern part of the west Istrian coast. Together with the surrounding sea and undersea, it was declared a National Park in 1983. Previous geological research is mainly based on findings of the footprints of dinosaurs and other reptiles, which can be found in several locations in the Brijuni Islands. For the purposes of this work, deposits were sampled at six localities where reptile footprints were recorded. The collected... More limestone samples were classified according to microfacies and paleontological findings in the samples. Paleontological analysis determined the fossil content, with Pseudonummoloculina heimi, marking the Late Albian. Samples from all six localities were prepared for palynomorph analysis in order to determine possible remains of spores and pollen. Determined pollen includes Pinuspollenites sp., hyphae and spores of fungi of the genus Glomus and spores of the green algae Tasmanites sp. and Ovoidites sp. Although palinomorph findings do not indicate a more accurate stratigraphic affiliation of the investigated deposits, their presence, together with the microfossil determinations, gives us additional information about the paleoenvironment during the Early Cretaceous and possible influence of the terrestrial plants to the shallow marine platform environments.
