In this diploma work we elaborate several aspects of the famous Chinese ring puzzle. This diploma work is divided into five chapters in which we describe the different ways what the Chinese rings are and how the famous Chinese ring puzzle can be solved. In the first chapter we treat the 7-ring puzzle and describe in details how to solve it. In the end, we give an interesting insight how 14-ring puzzle looks in 9 999-th step. The second chapter with a concrete example deals with 6-ring puzzle, explains a recursive formula for the number of steps required to solve the puzzle. This recursion is proven by induction and it applies to any number of rings. In the third chapter, we treat a topological interpretation of the Chinese ring puzzle which is relevant to knot theory, (Kaufman Conjecture on the tangle complexity of knots). The fourth chapter describes two puzzles, Spinout and The Brain, which have a similar, as for the Chinese ring puzzle, principle to be resolved. In the final, fifth chapter, we give illustrated solutions to a 4, 5, and 6-ring puzzle.
