Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu proučavali smo poliedre i njihova svojstva. Poliedri su objekti koji su izgrađeni od simpleksa pri čemu se u toj izgradnji simpleksi spajaju na određeni način po svojim stranicama tvoreći tako simplicijalne komplekse. U tu svrhu proučavali smo strukturu i svojstva simpleksa i simplicijalnih kompleksa kako bismo stekli predznanje potrebno za proučavanje poliedara i njihovih svojstva. Govorili smo o aproksimaciji racionalnih simpleksa te o maksimalnim simpleksima i dobrim točkama poliedara. Poliedri imaju važnu ulogu u topologiji, što je prikazano i u ovom diplomskom radu.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis we studied polyhedra and their characteristics. Polyhedra are objects that are built from the simplexes where in that building simplexes are connected in a certain way on its site, thus creating a simplicial complexes. For this purpose, we studied the structure and properties of the simplexes and simplicial complexes in order to gain knowledge necessary for the study of polyhedra and their characteristics. We have discussed about approximation of rational simplexes, the maximum simplexes and good points of polyhedra, too. Polyhedra have a significant role in topology, which is shown in this thesis.
