Theme of this paper is heliciculture, or terrestrial snails farming, with main focus on extensive type of farming. Short morphology and taxonomy overview as well as human use of snails is presented. Main goal is to show procedure of establishing a simple farm, from farm constructing to preparing snails for market. First step in process of farm raising is to choose suitable terrain with humid soil, good wind protection and enough important micronutrients. Next step is construction of the farm that includes raising of external fence and internal fences of pasture production fields. Crops planted in farm have to provide good quality food source and shelter from the sun. When the crops reach required height, snails are introduced to farm. Most common farming species in Europe are Cornu and Helix, while Achatina is suitable for tropical areas. After collecting mature snails and process of purging, they are ready for market placement, where requirements exceed offers. It has been show that heliciculture is perspective and environmental friendly business with possibility of quick return of invested money and making profit. No advanced technology or lot of hard work is required. Because of the big market needs and smaller number of snails in nature, heliciculture will continue its growth and development.
