Abstract
Alelopatija je pojava neposrednih ili posrednih interakcija među biljkama posredovana kemijskim spojevima (alelokemikalijama) koje izlučuju pojedine vrste biljaka. Molekularni mehanizmi fenomena nisu još detaljno proučeni zbog velikog broja različitih spojeva koji mogu sudjelovati u takvim procesima te zbog raznovrsne prirode reakcija. Alelopatija je bitno područje interesa u poljoprivredi zbog međudjelovanja usjeva i korova odnosno različitih usjeva, ali i zbog moguće budućnosti u proizvodnji prirodnih herbicida i drugih pripravaka. Cilj ovog rada je dati kratak uvid u pojavu alelopatije među biljkama te iznijeti neke primjere za to. U biljnom svijetu postoji niz alelopatskih interakcija koje su potvrđene laboratorijskim pokusima, no potrebno ih je detaljnije proučiti s biokemijske strane.
Abstract (english)
Allelopathy is a phenomenon in which plants make dirrect or indirect influence on each other through produced allelochemicals. Molecular mechanisms od this process have not been so minutely studied yet because of many different types of those chemicals and many possible mechanisms of the reactions. It is an important field of research in agriculture because of interactions between crops and weeds or interactions among two different crops. Also it could play a role in future production of natural herbicides. The goal of this work is to give a short insight in what allelopathy is and to present a couple of natural examples of the phenomenon. There is quite a few allelopathic interactions that have been reported and proved through experiments, but further biochemical studies on that field are still needed to complete our understanding of allelopathy.
