Abstract
Jadransko more ima karakterističnu cirkulaciju morskih struja prema sjeveru uz istočnu obalu te južno niz zapadnu obalu. Ovakva cirkulacija utječe na širenje perjanice rijeke Po. Rijekom Po se, pak, unose nutrijenti u Sjeverni Jadran. Unosom nutrijenata u more, dolazi do eutrofikacije. Eutrofikacija dovodi do povećane primarne produkcije, hipoksije i povećanja biomase fitoplanktona. Povećana primarna produkcija pogoduje prehrani europskog inćuna i njegovih larvalnih oblika, no, istovremeno, hipoksija ne pogoduje određenim vrstama riba. Ljudska aktivnost dovodi do dolaska ovih nutrijenata u Sjeverni Jadran putem rijeke Po, zbog industrije i poljoprivrede. Korelacija između unosa nutrijenata i ponašanja ribljih populacija postoji, u kompleksnom ekosustavu.
Abstract (english)
Adriatic Sea has a characteristic sea current circulation which flows northward along the eastern coast and southward along the western coast. This circulation affects the river Po plume spreading. River Po is the main source of nutrient input into North Adriatic Sea. This input causes eutrofication. Moreover, eutrofication causes increase in primary production, hypoxia and increase in phytoplankton biomass. Also, increase in primary production favours nutrition of anchovies and its larval stages while, on the other hand, hypoxia is not favourable for specific fish species. Human activity brings these nutrients into North Adriatic Sea via river Po, especially because of industry and agriculture. Correlation between nutrient input and fish behaviour is evident, in a complex ecosystem.
