Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu opisana je dinamika razvoja funkcija Dubrovnika i okolice te uzroci i posljedice funkcionalne preobrazbe koja je započela 1961. jačim razvojem turizma. Dubrovačko područje funkcionalno je usmjereno na djelatnosti tercijarnog sektora. Ubrzani razvoj i urbanizacija Dubrovnika ostavili su pozitivne i negativne posljedice na okolicu. Posljednjih dvadesetak godina dva su glavna faktora koja ubrzavaju preobrazbu: gospodarska tranzicija i masovni turizam.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes the dynamics of the development functions of the Dubrovnik region, which began 1961st development of tourism. Dubrovnik area has focused on the functional activity of the tertiary sector. Rapid development and urbanization of Dubrovnik have left positive and negative effects on the surroundings. Last twenty years are the two major factors that accelerate the transformation: economic transition and development of tourism.
