Abstract
Delta Neretve močvarno je područje od iznimne važnosti za opstanak mnogih biljnih i životinjskih vrsta, ali i ljudske egzistencije s obzirom da je tamo poljoprivreda važna gospodarska djelatnost od koje živi dio stanovnika. Prirodne vrijednosti delte Neretve danas su narušene zbog neadekvatnog bavljenja poljoprivredom i nepridržavanja zakona. Dio lokalnog stanovništva, zajedno s lokalnom vlasti, pokrenulo je inicijativu za proglašenje područja delte Neretve parkom prirode kako bi se područje pokušalo gospodarski i ekološki revitalizirati. Nažalost, drugi dio lokalnog stanovništva od početka izražava protivljenje toj ideji smatrajući je napadom na njihov način života i njihovu ekonomsku stabilnost. S obzirom da inicijativa za proglašenje parka prirode postoji, ali trenutno nije u realizaciji, cilj ovog prvostupničkog rada jest prikazati sadašnje stanje i ograničenja provedbe te mogućnosti i prednosti proglašenja područja parkom prirode.
Abstract (english)
Neretva delta is specific wetland area of particular importance for the survival of many plant and animal species and human existence considering agriculture as an important activity for the local population. The natural values of the Neretva delta today are being undermined by inadequate agricultural practices and non-compliance with the law. Because of that, part of the local population, together with the local authorities, launched an initiative for declaring the area as a nature park. Other part of the local population rejected the idea because they consider it as some kind of attack on their way of living and economic stability. The aim of this paper is to show the current state and the limitations of founding nature park and also its possibilities and advantages.
