Abstract
Temeljna svrha rada je razmotriti osnovne demografske procese i strukture te procijeniti postoji li demografski revitalizacijski potencijal u Požeškoj regiji. Izborom demografskih varijabli i indikatora razmatrani su procesi depopulacije, starenja i supstitucije stanovništva koji su potvrdili pretpostavke o prostornoj raznolikosti regije na gorski okvir s prevladavajućim negativnim trendovima te središnji kotlinski prostor gdje još postoji populacijski potencijal za revitalizaciju. Na kraju su predloženi modeli i mjere demografske obnove te međuovisnost demografskog razvoja i društveno-gospodarskog stanja, odnosno demografske pretpostavke gospodarskog razvoja.
Abstract (english)
The main purpose of this study is to examine the basic demographic processes and structures and to evaluate whether there is a demographic potential for revitalization in the region of Požega. Selected demographic variables and indicators are used in analysis of depopulation, ageing and substitution of population that confirmed hypothesis of the spatial disparity of region on two sectors; mountain frame with negative demographic trends and center space of Požega basin where is still present demographic potential for revitalization. In the end of the study there are some suggested models and measures of demographic revitalization and correlation between population development and socio-economic conditions, e.g. demographic assumptions of economic development.
