Abstract
Biološki koncept vrste definira vrste kao članove neke populacije koje se zapravo ili potencijalno međusobno razmnožavaju u prirodi bez obzira na sličnosti u izgledu. Iako međusobna sličnost u izgledu pomaže pri određivanju vrsta, ona ne definira vrste. Ringspecies, semispecies i superspecies se temelje na otkrivenim prijelaznim oblicima koji su unijeli mnoge dvojbe u sistematiku. Pokazuju da je reproduktivnu izoliranost često teško utvrditi i ističu geografski izolaciju kao put specijacije. Ringspecies je pojava u kojoj su dvije reproduktivno izolirane forme povezane lancem prijelaznih populacija. Semispecies pokazuju kako su bitna detaljna istraživanja kojih je do sada jako malo, kao i da su u dosadašnjem imenovanju novih vrsta ponekad potrebne korekcije. Isto tako, pokazuju mogućnost nastanka vrste iz geografskih rasa i nužnost uvođenja novih sistematskih kategorija. Superspecies pokazuju kako je ponekad potrebno uvođenje novih pojmova u sistematiku radi lakše kategorizacije.
Abstract (english)
The biological species concept defines a species as members of populations that actually or potentially interbreed in nature, not according to similarity of appearance. Although appearance is helpful in identifying species, it does not define species. Ringspecies, semispecies and superspecies are based on the discovered intermediate forms that are entered in systematic many doubts. They show that the reproductive isolation is difficult to determine and they emphasize geographic isolation as a way of speciation. A ringspecies is a situation in which two reproductively isolated forms are connected by a chain of intermediate populations. Semispecies show how detailed studies which were a bit far are important and that so far appointment of new species requires corrections. Also, they show possibility of forming new species from geographical races and the necessity of introducing new systematic categories. Superspecies show that it is sometimes necessary introduction of new concepts for easy categorization.
