Abstract | Kisele kiše predstavljaju kiše ili neke druge oblike padalina koje su zagađene raznim kemijskim spojevima. Uzroci zbog kojih je kiša zakiseljena su plinovi (sumporni, dušikovi, ugljični oksidi) koji dolazeći u dodir sa vodom reagiraju stvarajući kiseline. pH vrijednost kisele kiše iznosi u prosjeku 4 do 4,5 za razliku od kišnice čija pH vrijednost iznosi oko 5,5. Acidifikacija nije konstantna niti ograničena na određena područja, prvenstveno ovisi o količini toksičnih tvari koje se emitiraju i prirodnim putem (vulkani, požari) ali i djelovanjem čovjeka. Štetne tvari su mobilne djelovanjem valova, vjetra, micanjem oblaka tako da se organizmi, koji se zateknu na mjestu djelovanja kiselih kiša, moraju prilagoditi, migrirati ili pak odumiru. Izuzetno je veliki problem što kiselost najjače pogađa juvenilne stadije jedinki i embrije kao i najbazičnije karike hranidbenih lanaca i tako narušava kompletan ekosustav. Ovaj problem je odavno primjećen, ali se nije na vrijeme reagiralo, tako da je sada potreban veliki napor, stručnjaci i sredstva za stvaranje dobrog plana oporavka našeg planeta, a u realizaciji moraju sudjelovati svi primarni zagađivači-ljudi. |
Abstract (english) | Acid rain is rain or any other form of precipitation which are wasted by various chemical compounds. The principal cause of acid rain are gases such as sulfur, nitrogen or carbon oxides which react with water in the atmosphere to produce acids. pH of acid rain is 4 or 4,5, as opposed to rain water, whose pH is around 5,5. Acidification isn’t constant or limited to certain areas. Primary it depends on amount of the toxic compounds which are emitted naturally (volcanoes, fires), but also from human sources. Toxic compounds are mobile because of the waves, the wind and movements of the clouds, and the organisms which live in areas where acid rains affect must adjust themself, move or instinct. Extremely big problem is that acidity strikes juvenile stages and embryos the most, as well as the most basic links of food chains, and therefore destroys complete ecosystem. This problem was spotted a long time ago, but nobody reacted on time, and now it takes a great effort, specialists and equipment to make a good plan for the recovery of our planet, and to achieve that, all primary contaminators (the whole mankind) must participate. |
