Abstract
U ovom pregledu potporodice Cladonotinae dao sam jedne od prvih opisa po kojima je potporodica sastavljena kao i njenu geografsku rasprostranjenost. Ukazano je na nekoliko problema. Problem poznavanja premalog broja primjeraka jedinki za dobar opis vrste, problem naizgled nasumičnog odabira svojstava pri opisu vrsta i problemi pri određivanju vrsta. U radu dane mape daju jasan uvid u obrasce rasprostranjenosti koji podupiru modernu hipotezu da je potporodica Cladonotinae zapravo polifiletička. Daljnji znanstveni rad i istraživanje potrebni su kako bi se ispravile pogreške u taksonomiji potporodice koje ostaju previđene već više od stotinu godina.
Abstract (english)
In this review od the subfamily Cladonotinae, examples of the first descriptions, by which the subfamily was formed, are given, as well as its geographic distribution. Several problems have been pointed out. The problem of having too few known specimens to properly describe a species, the problem of seemingly arbitrary choice of characteristics when describing a species and problems with correctly determining species. In the review, the maps offer clear insight in the pattern of distribution that supports the modern hypothesis which claim that the subfamily Cladonotinae is actually polyphyletic. Furhter scientific research is necessary in order to correct mistakes that kept being overlooked for over a hundred years.
