Abstract
U ovom radu istraženi su različiti sintetski pristupi priprave 4-nitrozoazobenzena, poznatim metodama oksidacije i redukcije. Nijedan od pristupa sintetske priprave nije dao 4-nitrozoazobenzen. Kao produkt sinteze oksidacijskom metodom nastajao je 4-nitroazobenzen, odnosno redukcijskom metodom 4-aminoazobenzen. Kako bi se razjasnio problem, pristupilo se računalnoj metodi. Izračunata je bazičnost aminskih reaktanata s obzirom na mjesto protoniranja dušikovih atoma te relativna stabilnost mogućih produkata oksidacije 4-aminoazobenzena (odnosno redukcije 4-nitroazobenzena), kao i utjecaj supstituenata na stabilnost pojedinog spoja. Dobivene vrijednosti su razjasnili bazičnost 4-aminoazobenzena s obzirom na mjesto protoniranja dušikovih atoma, te se ujedno dobio uvid u termodinamički najstabilniji oksidacijski put 4-aminoazobenzena.
Abstract (english)
In this master thesis, the synthesis of 4-nitrosoazobenzene was attempted using different synthetic methods, such as oxidation and reduction methods. None of the attempted synthetic approaches gave 4-nitrosoazobenzene. The product of the oxidation method was 4-nitrosoazobenzene, while the reduction method yielded 4 -aminoazobenzene. In order to clarify the problem, computational methods were used. The basicity of various nitrogen atoms of the amine reactant was estimated, as well as the relative stabilities of the possible products of oxidation of 4-aminoazobenzene (or the reduction of 4-nitroazobenzene). Also, the influence of substituents on the stability of invesigated compounds was calculated.
