Abstract
Na uzorcima krednih naslaga iz šest profila koji se nalaze sjeverozapadno od Vela Luke, otok Korčula, provedena je mikrofacijesna analiza. Određeno je ukupno 20 mikrofacijesa koji odgovaraju facijesnim zonama raspona od platformskih sabkhi i nadplimne zone preko zaštićenih platformskih plićaka i plimne ravnice do otvorene platforme. Temeljem njihovog širokog raspona i relativno velikog diverziteta taloženje se odvijalo u paleookolišu plimskih otočića. Starost gornji alb–turon istraživanih naslaga određena je na temelju stratigrafskog raspona bentičkih foraminifera Protochrysalidina elongata, „Valdanchella“ dercourti, Pastrikella balcanica, Chrysalidina gradata, Pseudocyclammina spheroidea, Moncharmontia apenninica te Scandonea samnitica. Početak cenomansko–turonske sekvencije na istraživanom području karakteriziraju plitkomorske karbonatne naslage relativno otvorenijeg okoliša taloženja.
Abstract (english)
Microfacies analysis was carried out on the rock samples of Cretaceous deposits located northwest of Vela Luka, Island of Korčula. 20 microfacies were determined in total. They correspond to facies zones in range from platform sabkhas and supratidal zone, protected shallow platform tidal enviroment toward open platform paleoenviroments. At the basis of their wide ranges and relatively high diversity, depositional paleoenviroment corresponds to the tidal islands model. Upper AlbianTuronian age of researched deposits was determined according to stratigraphic ranges of benthic foraminifera Protochrysalidina elongata, „Valdanchella“ dercourti, Pastrikella balcanica, Chrysalidina gradata, Pseudocyclammina spheroidea, Moncharmontia apenninica and Scandonea samnitica. The beginning of Cenomanian–Turonian sequence in investigated area is characterized by the shallow water limestones of a relatively more open depositional enviroment.
