Abstract
Nestajanje Aralskog jezera već je dugi niz godina jedan od većih svjetskih ekoloških problema. Mnogi stručnjaci upozoravaju na taj problem koji je štetan kako za prirodno-geografske čimbenike tako i za samo stanovništvo. U ovom radu će se kroz analizu literature, geografskih faktora i kartografskih priloga objasniti postupci koji su doveli do današnjeg stanja Aralskog jezera, kako se to odrazilo na karakteristike jezera te na stanovništvo, ali i kojim se načinima jezero pokušava spasiti i obnoviti te postoji li mogućosti za njegovim očuvanjem.
Abstract (english)
The vanishing of the Aral Sea has been one of the world's major environmental problems for many years. Many experts point to this problem, which is detrimental to both natural-geographical factors and the population itself. This paper, through the analysis of the literature, geographical factors and cartographic contribution, will explain the processes that have led to the present state of the Aral Sea, as it has affected the characteristics of the sea and its population. Also, in what ways is the Aral Sea trying to save and rebuild, and whether is there any possibility of its preservation.
