Abstract
Procjena granice dubine odobalnog transporta sedimenta je ključni koncept u razumijevanju morfodinamike plaža. U ovom radu je po prvi put rađena procjena DoC u RH i to na temelju granulometrijskog sastava i porijekla zrna sedimenta. Za usporedbu su korištene i jednadžbe za izračunavanje DoC dostupne u literaturi. Rezultati sastava sedimenta su ukazali da se procijenjeni DoC nalazi u rasponu dubina od 1,2 m do 3,4 m. Dubine DoC dobivene jednadžbama su pliće i kreću se u rasponu od 0,4787 do 0,7611 m i smatra se da su te dubine podcijenjene kad je u pitanju plaža u Dugom Ratu. Takvi rezultati mogu biti odraz korištenih valnih parametara koji nisu mjereni, već modelirani. Primjenjena metoda procjene DoC na temelju karakteristika sedimenta realnije ukazuje na dubinu DoC na istraživanoj plaži u Dugom Ratu.
Abstract (english)
Estimation of Depth of Closure is a key concept in understanding of beach morphodynamics. This thesis was the first attempt to estimate DoC in Republic of Croatia based on granulometric composition and origin of sediment. Equations for calculation of DoC available in literature were used to compare results obtained by sediment analysis. Results of sediment composition indicated that estimated DoC is in depth range of 1.2 m to 3.4 m. Depths of estimated DoC obtained by equations are shallower and range from od 0.4787 m to 0.7611 m and are considered underestimated for the investigated beach. These results may reflect the usage of modeled wave parametars instead of measured ones. Applied method for estimation of DoC based on sediment characteristics gives more realistic indication of DoC on investigated beach in Dugi Rat.
