Abstract
Istraživanje je provedeno na vrsti Pseudopus apodus (Pallas, 1775) s ciljem istraživanja morfologije eritrocita te utvrđivanja učestalosti pojavljivanja nepravilnih eritrocitnih jezgri odnosno eritrocitnih nuklearnih abnormalnosti (ENA). Jedinke su uzorkovane iz dvije odvojene populacije blavora. Jedna populacija nastanjuje staništa u južnom dijelu Cresa s gotovo zanemarivim antropogenim utjecajem, dok druga obitava na splitskom području čije je stanište izloženo većem antropogenom utjecaju. Podaci su analizirani neparametrijskim statističkim testovima obzirom na mjesto uzorkovanja i spol jedinki. Rezultati pokazuju značajno višu učestalost jezgrinih i citoplazmatskih vakuola kod splitske populacije blavora, zajedno s većom brojnosti mikronukleusa i dvojezgrenih eritrocita. Jezgrene nepravilnosti su nešto brojnije kod creske populacije, međutim taj nalaz se nije pokazao statistički značajan. Nisu pronađene značajne razlike u učestalosti nepravilnosti među spolovima, što dovodi do zaključka kako promjene okolišnih čimbenika imaju jednak utjecaj na oba spola. Potrebna su daljnja istraživanja kako bi se utvrdila promjenjivost u učestalosti eritrocitnih nepravilnosti ovisno o sezoni i starosti jedinki blavora.
Abstract (english)
Research was conducted on the species Pseudopus apodus (Pallas, 1775) with the aim of evaluating erythrocyte morphology and determining baseline values of erythrocytic nuclear abnormalities (ENA). Samples were taken from two separate populations of glass lizards. The first population inhabits the southern part of Island Cres, where anthropogenic influence is very mild, whereas the second occupies the outskirts of Split, a coastal city characterized by higher levels of anthropogenic influence. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistic tests with reference to location and gender of sampled individuals. Results showed significantly higher nuclear and cytoplasmic vacuolization in glass lizards from the Split area, along with elevated levels of micronuclei and binuclear erythrocytes. Nuclear abnormalities were slightly elevated within the Cres population of glass lizards, but these results were not statistically significant. No significant differences were found between male and female glass lizards, which leads to a conclusion that both genders respond equaly to environmental stress. Further research is needed to supplement obtained data with reference to seasonal changes and age of individuals.
