Abstract
Stereoizomeri su spojevi koji imaju isti redoslijed vezanih atoma, ali različiti raspored atoma u prostoru zbog čega se razlikuju po fizikalnim, kemijskim i biološkim svojstvima. Dijele se na dijastereomere, čiji se parametri nuklearne magnetske rezonancije (engl. nuclear magnetic resonance, NMR) međusobno razlikuju, te na enantiomere koji u akiralnom otapalu imaju identične NMR spektre. Enantiomeri se mogu uspoređivati metodama derivatizacije, kojima dolazi do transformacije kiralnog supstrata u dvije vrste kojima se mogu razlikovati NMR spektri, zatim proučavanjem supstrata u kiralnom otapalu te metodom kojom se promatra orijentacija molekule u tzv. kiralnom mediju za orijentiranje (engl. chiral orienting medium). Ovaj rad daje kratak opis NMR spektroskopije i svojstava stereoizomera te opisuje najvažnije metode za razlikovanje stereoizomera.
