Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu sintetizirana su dva koordinacijska spoja nikla(II), bis(2-acetilpiridin)dikloridonikal(II) i bis(2-benzoilpiridin)dikloridonikal(II), s ciljem da se pri kokristalizaciji s perhalogeniranim donorima halogenske veze istraži potencijal kloridnog liganda kao akceptora halogenske veze. Priprava kokristala provedena je mehanokemijskom sintezom i sintezom u otopini. Mehanokemijskom sintezom priređeno je devetnaest novih kristalnih faza, dok su kristalizacijom iz otopine priređeni jedinični kristali pet kokristala. Dobiveni produkti okarakterizirani su difrakcijom rendgenskog zračenja u polikristalnom uzorku, termogravimetrijskom analizom te infracrvenom spektroskopskom analizom, a kokristalima čiji su jedinični kristali uspješno priređeni, metodom difrakcije rendgenskog zračenja u jediničnom kristalu određene su molekulske i kristalne strukture. Strukturnom analizom priređenih spojeva utvrđeno je da je u svim kokristalima dominantna supramolekulska interakcija halogenska veza Ni–Cl···I koja se ostvaruje između atoma joda perhalogeniranog spoja kao donora halogenske veze i klorido liganda koordinacijskog spoja nikla(II) kao akceptora halogenske veze.
Abstract (english)
Within this diploma thesis, two nickel(II) coordination compounds, bis(2-acetylpyridine)dichloridonickel(II) and bis(2-benzoylpyridine)dichloridonickel(II), have been synthesized in order to investigate the ability of the chlorine atom coordinated to the Ni(II) metal centre to act as a halogen bond acceptor with perhalogenated organic compounds as halogen bond donors. All syntheses have been performed both by mechanochemical liquid-assisted grinding and by crystallization from solution. Two nickel(II) coordination compounds formed nineteen new phases with selected donors mechanochemically, and five single crystals of the cocrystals were obtained by crystallization from solution. All reactants and products have been characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry analysis, infrared spectroscopy analysis, and the obtained single crystals have been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Molecular and crystal structure determination of the obtained single crystals revealed that the dominant supramolecular interaction in all five cocrystals is the Ni–Cl···I halogen bond between halogen bond donor iodine atoms and nickel(II) complex chlorine atoms.
