Abstract
Otpad je danas neizbježan dio čovjekove svakodnevice. Sve brži razvoj društva i tehnologija nameće potrošački mentalitet kao suvremeni sustav vrijednosti što rezultira povećanom potražnjom za novim proizvodima. Odgovor na taj zahtjev daje povećana proizvodnja, no takav sustav dugoročno je neodrživ. Naime, povećani kapaciteti proizvodnje također daju i povećane količine industrijskog otpada što uvelike opterećuje okoliš i komunalne infrastrukture urbanih sredina. S obzirom na sve navedeno važno je ovom vrstom otpada gospodariti na pravilan i učinkovit način. Zbog složenosti tehnoloških procesa u proizvodnji, nemoguće je uspostaviti jedinstvenu shemu upravljanja već ona ovisi o svakoj kompaniji pojedinačno. Zakonodavni okvir postavljen je na europskoj i državnoj razini, a kako bi se učinkovito gospodarilo otpadom jasno su definirane vrste i načini zbrinjavanja otpada. U radu je kao primjer utjecajne multinacionalne kompanije prikazana Grupa Podravka sa sjedištem u Koprivnici. Analizom statističkih podataka i godišnjih izvješća vezanih uz pitanja zaštite okoliša utvrđeno je da su detaljnim akcijskim planom zaštite okoliša propisani svi postupci upravljanja otpadom i otpadnim industrijskim vodama iz proizvodnih procesa prehrambene industrije. Abstract (english)
Waste is today an inevitable part of human everyday life. The ever-faster development of society and technology imposes a consumer mentality as a modern value system resulting in increased demand for new products. The answer to this demand is given by increased production, but such a system is unsustainable in the long run. Namely, increased production capacities also provide increased amounts of industrial waste, which greatly burdens the environment and communal infrastructure of urban areas. Given all the above, it is important to manage this type of waste in a proper and efficient way. Due to the complexity of technological processes in production, it is impossible to establish a single management scheme, but it depends on each company individually. The legislative framework has been set at European and national level, and in order to manage waste efficiently, the types and methods of waste disposal are clearly defined. This thesis analyses the Podravka Group with its headquarters in Koprivnica as an example of an influential multinational company. The analysis of statistical data and annual reports related to environmental protection issues revealed that the detailed environmental action plan prescribes all procedures for the management of waste and industrial wastewater from the production processes of the food industry. Solutions exist, but what hinders their effectiveness is the speed of their implementation.
