Abstract
Dvočestične kutne korelacije u proton-proton (p+p) te proton-jezgra (p+A) sudarima na visokim energijama nose potencijalni potpis kolektivne valne funkcije gluona unutar protona ili jezgre poznate pod nazivom Staklasti kondenzat boje. U ovom će se radu promatrati kutne korelacije između fotona i mlaza, odnosno visokoenergetskog kvarka ili antikvarka nastalih u p+p odnosno p+A sudarima na visokim energijama i centralnim rapiditetima gdje su relevantni udjeli impulsa partona unutar projektila i mete mali. Prvo ćemo opisati formalizam Staklastog kondenzata boje te ćemo nakon toga objasniti kako doći do udarnog presjeka za produkciju kvarka, antikvarka i fotona. Taj će nam udarni presjek biti početna točka da bismo došli do udarnog presjeka za produkciju kvarka i fotona. Na analogni način, krećući od udarnog presjeka za produkcija kvarka i antikvarka izvesti ćemo udarni presjek za produkciju kvarka. Unutar aproksimacije vodećeg logaritma numerički ćemo demonstrirati nuklearnu ovisnost foton-kvark udarnog presjeka o azimutalnom kutu između izlaznih čestica.
Abstract (english)
Two-particle angular correlations in proton-proton (p+p) and proton-nucleus (p+A) collisions at high energies may indicate collective nature of gluons within proton or nucleus known as Color Glass Condensate. This thesis explores angular correlations between photon and jet, i.e. high-energy quark or antiquark produced in p+p or p+A collisions at high energies and central rapidities where relevant momentum fractions of partons inside projectile and target are small. Our first task is to define the framework of Color Glass Condensate, and then describe how one could calculate differential cross section for production of quark, antiquark and photon. This cross section will be our starting point in subsequent calculation of cross section for photon-quark production. In the same fashion, starting from differential cross section for quark-antiquark production, we will derive cross section for quark production. We will also demonstrate nuclear dependence of photon-quark cross section on the azimuthal angle in the leading-log approximation. Those calculations will be done numerically.
