Abstract
Ophiocordyceps sinensis je entomopatogena gljiva s dugom poviješću primjene u tradicionalnoj kineskoj medicini, ali je i danas dostupan sve veći broj pripravaka ove gljive. Brojni uočeni pozitivni učinci na ljudski organizam povećali su interes za primjenom i istraživanjem bioaktivnih tvari prisutnih u ovoj vrsti. Zbog velike potražnje došlo je do razvoja umjetnog uzgoja i kultivacije in vitro. Napredak istraživanja doveo je do korištenja brojnih ekstrakata koji su pokazali imunomodulacijska, protutumorska, protuupalna, antioksidativna, ali i mnoga druga svojstva. Značajnu pažnju privukao je imunomodulacijski potencijal izoliranih bioaktivnih tvari. Brojni problemi i nesporazumi u istraživanjima rezultat su korištenja neprovjerenih materijala i nepoštivanja nomenklature. Usprkos problemima u istraživanju, O. sinensis ima velik potencijal primjene u tretiranju pacijenata s poremećajima funkcioniranja imunosnog sustava, ali i drugih bolesti.
Abstract (english)
Ophiocordyceps sinensis is an entomoparasitic fungus with a long history of use in traditional Chinese medicine, but an increasing number of remedies from this fungus are available today. Numerous observed positive effects on the human organism have increased interest in the application and research of bioactive substances present in this species. Due to high demand, artificial and in vitro cultivation have been developed. Advances in research have led to the use of various extracts that have shown immunomodulatory, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and many other properties. Significant attention has been drawn to the immunomodulatory potential of isolated bioactive substances. Numerous problems and misunderstandings in the research are the result of the use of unverified materials and lack of compliance with the nomenclature. Despite the problems in research, O. sinensis has great potential for application in the treatment of patients with immune system dysfunction and other diseases.
