Abstract
Bijeli patuljak jest završna faza evolucije zvijezde srednje veličine. Na početku je riječ o vrućem objektu, koji se potom postepeno hladi zbog prestanka fuzije. Bijeli patuljak sadržava degeneriranu materiju te tlak degeneriranog plina ima glavnu ulogu u sprječavanju gravitacijskog sažimanja. Kroz raspisivanje niza jednadžbi, došlo se do dvije temeljne diferencijalne jednadžbe uz pomoć kojih je opisana struktura bijelih patuljaka te je ujedno i grafički prikazana.
Abstract (english)
White dwarf is the final phase of the medium sized star evolution. At the beginning, it is a very hot object that gradually losses it’s temperature because of the stoppage of fusion. White dwarf contains degenerate matter and degenerate pressure plays the major role in stopping gravitational collapse. Through a series of equations, we managed to define two main differential equations which helped us in describing the structure of the white dwarfs, and the results are graphically shown.
