Abstract
Cilj rada je razviti eksperimentalni uređaj koji bi mjerio intenzitet ultrazvučnih valova koji se ogibaju na pukotini, te uređaj iskoristiti za vježbu iz Praktikuma iz Opće fizike 3. U radu se upoznajemo s potrebnim elektroničkim elementima i mehaničkim dijelom uređaja te detaljno opisujemo postupak mjerenja, kako bi se eksperiment mogao reproducirati. Dobivene rezultate uspoređujemo s teorijskim predviđanjem i primjećujemo bolje poklapanje kod mjerenja sa širom pukotinom. Također, prolazimo i kroz probleme s kojima smo se susreli, kao što je šum izazvan koračnim motorom i pripadnim upravljačem, te diskutiramo moguća rješenja, kao što je postavljanje filtera.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this thesis is to develop a setup for measuring single-slit diffraction of ultrasonic waves and to use it in a student laboratory on wave mechanics and optics. In the thesis we describe both the mechanical and electronic parts of the setup and learn about their operation. Then the performance of the experiment is explained in detail so that it can be easily reproduced. The measured results are compared with theoretical expectations and we find that the results are better for wider slits. Finally, we discuss various problems encountered in the design and execution of the experiment and propose possible solutions to these problems, such as the use of a low-pass filter to remove the noise of the stepper motor and its driver.
