Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je istaknuti općenite razlike nerelacijskih i relacijskih baza podataka, gdje je naglasak na Redis nerelacijskoj bazi pomoću koje je i izrađen projekt u sklopu samog rada. Baze podataka su ključne sastavnice gotovo svakog važnog sustava u poslovnom i digitalnom svijetu. Bitnost se ističe u jednostavnosti pohrane i sigurnosti podataka. Postoji više načina kako bi se to omogućilo, pa se u radu spominju i baze poput MongoDB i Memcached baze koje su također nerelacijske, ali sa drugačijim značajkama od Redisa. Svaka baza ima svoje pojedinosti i pravila koja se trebaju poštivati kako bi se ispravno unijeli podaci i izvršavali razni upiti nad njima. U radu su detaljnije objašnjene usporedbe Redis baze sa navedenim bazama iz čega se može zaključiti kada je i zašto bolje koristiti neku od njih.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper was to highlight the general differences between non-relational and relational databases, where the emphasis is on the Redis non-relational database by which the project was made as part of the work itself. Databases are key components of almost every important system in the business and digital world. The importance stands out in the ease of storage and security of data. There are several ways to make this possible, so the paper also mentions databases like MongoDB and Memcached databases that are also non-relational, but with different features than Redis. Each database has its own details and rules that need to be followed in order to correctly enter the data and execute various queries over it. The paper explains in more detail comparisons of Redis database with the above databases from which it can be deduced when and why it is better to use one of them.
