Abstract
U ovom završnom radu analizirane su i uspoređene performanse dviju baza podataka unutar mobilne aplikacije. Riječ je o SQLite i Cloud Firestore bazama podataka implementiranima unutar aplikacije darivatelja krvi. Dan je povijesni osvrt, objašnjeni su pojmovi sustava za upravljanje bazom podataka i arhitekture baze podataka te su nabrojane vrste baza podataka. Potom su ukratko objašnjene SQL i NoSQL baze podataka te njihovi predstavnici SQLite i Cloud Firestore. Kao praktični dio, napravljena je mobilna aplikacija darivatelja krvi u kojoj su implementirane SQLite i Cloud Firestore baze podataka unutar kojih su pohranjeni setovi podataka različitih veličina na kojima su izvršavane osnovne CRUD operacije. Analiza ovih dviju baza podataka temeljena je na usporedbi vremena izvršavanja tih CRUD operacija.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, the performance of two databases within the mobile application was analyzed and compared. These are SQLite and Cloud Firestore databases implemented within the blood donor application. A historical review is given, the concepts of database management system and database architecture are explained, and the types of databases are listed. Then the SQL and NoSQL databases and their representatives SQLite and Cloud Firestore are briefly explained. As a practical part, a blood donor mobile application was created in which SQLite and Cloud Firestore databases were implemented, inside which data sets of different sizes were stored, on which basic CRUD operations were performed. The analysis of these two databases is based on the comparison of the execution time of these CRUD operations.
