Abstract
Pojam raspona grafa po prvi puta uvode I. Banič i A. Taranenko u svojem radu [1] kako bi riješili problem određivanja maksimalne sigurne udaljenosti na kojoj se dva igrača mogu nalaziti obilazeći graf. Definiraju vršni i bridni raspon povezanog grafa koji može biti jaki, direktni ili Kartezijev, ovisno o dopuštenim pravilima kretanja na danom grafu. Autori G. Erceg, T. Vojković i A. Šubašić su u svojem radu [2], promatrajući samo vršne raspone grafa, dokazali relacije između njih te izračunali konkretne vrijednosti raspona za neke klase grafova. Cilj ovog rada je usporediti prethodno navedene radove i ustanoviti postoje li, i kakve, razlike u analizama istog problema.
Abstract (english)
The novel notion of the span of graph was first introduced by I. Banič and A. Taranenko in their paper [1] in order to solve the problem of determining the maximal safety distance two players can keep while traversing a graph. They define the vertex and edge span of a connected graph that can be strong, direct or Cartesian, depending on the allowed movement rules on a given graph. Authors G. Erceg, T. Vojković and A. Šubašić in their paper [2], observing only the vertex span of the graph, proved the relations between them and calculated specific span values for some graph classes. The objective of this paper is to compare previously mentioned papers and to determine the differences in the analyses of the same problem, if such differences exist.
