Abstract
Strane vrste prirodno ne nastanjuju određeni ekosustav, a ukoliko imaju negativni utjecaj na bioraznolikost, zdravlje ili gospodarstvo smatraju se invazivnim vrstama. U Jadranskom moru posljednjih desetljeća zabilježen je rastući broj stranih i invazivnih vrsta riba. Klimatske promjene odnosno rastuće temperature mora stvorile su uvjete za širenje termofilnih vrsta iz tropskih i suptropskih područja u hladnije vode Sredozemnog i Jadranskog mora. Pomorski promet i izgradnja Sueskog kanala doprinijeli su širenju vrsta. Mnoge vrste riba migrirale su iz Crvenog mora u Mediteran i poznate su kao lesepsijski migranti. Takve vrste predstavljaju ekološku prijetnju, mijenjaju strukturu ekosustava i imaju negativne učinke na lokalnu ekonomiju. Mogući načini smanjena njihovih negativnih utjecaja su uvođenje u gastronomiju te ribolov. Dugoročni utjecaji na bioraznolikost, hranidbene mreže i ribarstvo tek su predmet istraživanja.
Abstract (english)
The non-indigenous species do not naturally live in a particular ecosystem; when they harm biodiversity, health or the economy, they are called invasive species. In recent decades, a growing number of non-indigenous and invasive fish species have appeared in the Adriatic Sea. Climatic changes and rising sea temperatures have created the conditions for the spread of thermophilic species from tropical and subtropical regions into the colder waters of the Mediterranean and Adriatic. Maritime traffic and the construction of the Suez Canal contributed to the spread of species. Many fish species have migrated from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean and are referred to as Lessepsian migrants. These species represent an ecological threat, change the structure of the ecosystem and have a negative impact on the local economy. Ways to reduce their negative impact include their introduction into gastronomy and fishing. The long-term effects on biodiversity, food webs and fisheries are still being investigated.
