Abstract
Romani znanstvene fantastike nude mnoštvo tema koje se mogu kritički analizirati iz fizikalne perspektive. Radnja znanstvenofantastičnog romana „Zdravo, ljeto, zbogom” (eng. „Hello summer, goodbye”) Michaela Coneyja se odvija na dalekom planetu koji nalikuje Zemlji, ali uz nekoliko bitnih razlika. U ovom završnom radu će se analizirati dva važna fizikalna aspekta u svijetu romana: planetarni sustav u kojem se nalazi daleki planet te fazno ponašanje tekućina na njemu. Analizom podataka iz knjige te korištenjem znanja iz klasične mehanike i termodinamike ćemo doći do zaključka je li izmišljeni svijet M.Coneyja čista fikcija ili ima fizikalni temelj.
Abstract (english)
Science fiction novels offer a multitude of themes that can be critically analyzed from a physical perspective. The plot of the science fiction novel "Hello summer, goodbye" by Michael Coney takes place on a distant planet that resembles Earth, but with a few important differences. In this Bachelor thesis two important physical aspects in the world of the novel will be analyzed: the planetary system in which a distant planet is located and the phase behavior of liquids on it. By analyzing data from the book and using knowledge from classical mechanics and thermodynamics, we will come to the conclusion whether M. Coney's fictional world is pure fiction or has a physical basis.
