Abstract
U radu je analizirano 100 jedinki kokota bijelca iz područja Jadrana te su im opisane morfometrijske i merističke osobine. Ukupno je analizirano 14 klasičnih morfometrijskih i pet merističkih tjelesnih osobina značajnih da davanje opisa populacije vrste reda Scorpaeniformes. Klasične morfometrijske osobine su izmjerene pomoću ihtiometra i pomične mjerke. Ukupna dužina analiziranih jedinki bila je u rasponu od 15,5 - 26,9 cm. Istražene su promjene dužina morfometrijskih osobina ribe u odnosu na promjenu ukupne tjelesne dužine i kod svih promjena pokazao se linearan odnos. Merističke osobine kokota bijelca su: D1=IX-X, D2=17-18, A=16-18, P=10-11+3, V=1+5, C=15-17. Rezultati pokazuju da nema većih morfomoterijskih razlika između populacije kokota bijelca u Jadranu u odnosu na sjeveroistočni Atlantik i Sredozemlje.
Abstract (english)
In the present study, morphometric and meristic characteristics of 100 specimens of red gurnard, Chelidonichtys cuculus (Linneaus, 1758) were analysed. To describe the population from the order Scorpaeniformes it was used 14 classic morphometric and five meristic characteristics. Specimens were taken from Adriatic. Morphometric characteristics were measured by using measuring board for fish and caliper. The total length of the observed fish ranged from 15,5 - 26,9 cm. The rate of growth of different body parts of the fish in relation to it’s total length was studied. The length of each body part and the total length of the fish were found to be a straight line in logarithmic scales. Meristic characteristics of red gurnard are: D1=IX-X, D2=17-18, A=16-18, P=10-11+3, V=I+5, C=15-17. This study has shown that there is no big difference between population od red gurnard in the Adriatic Sea in relation to populations in Eastern Atlantic and the Mediteranean sea.
