Abstract
Električna otpornost i Seebeckov koeficijent, uz toplinsku vodljivost i Hallov efekt predstavljaju jedne od fundamentalnih i često istraživanih termoelektričnih transportnih svojstava materijala. Uslijed tehnološke i industrijske potrebe za novim materijalima koji bi mogli biti korisni za nove oblike energetskih napajanja ili hlađenja i koji bi mogli istodobno smanjiti industrijske energetske gubitke, često se ispituju upravo električna otpornost i Seebeckov koeficijent, kako bi se dobio faktor izvrsnosti, koji daje sliku efikasnosti uporabe materijala pri pretvorbi toplinske u električnu energiju, i obratno. U ovom radu obavljena su mjerenja temperaturne ovisnosti električne otpornosti i Seebeckovog koeficijenta duž intermetalnog kristala GaPd2, radi provjere termoelektričnih svojstava. Rezultati mjerenja električne otpornosti nastavljaju trend prethodnih istraživanja, dok Seebeckov koeficijent pokaziva odstupanja od dosadašnjih rezultata iz literatura.
Abstract (english)
Electrical resistance and Seebeck coefficient, with thermal conductivity and Hall effect, are one of the fundamental and frequently explored thermoelectric transport properties of the material. Due to the technological and industrial needs for new materials that could be useful for new forms of power supply or cooling and which could simultaneously reduce industrial energy losses, electrical resistances and Seebeck coefficients are often tested in order to obtain a factor of excellence that gives an image of efficiency of use heat transfer materials in electrical energy, and vice versa. In this paper, we measure the temperature dependence of electrical resistance and the Seebeck coefficient along the intermetal GaPd2 crystal, to check the thermoelectric properties. The results of the measurement of electrical resistances continue with the trend of previous research, while Seebeck's coefficient shows deviations from previous literature results.
