Abstract
Zemljina putanja bila bi u potpunosti stabilna kada bi Sunčev sustav činile samo Zemlja i Sunce. Postojanje ostalih planeta u sustavu uzrokuje preturbacije i nestabilnost Zemljine putanje. Cilj ovog rada je ispitati u kojoj mjeri Jupiter, kao najmasivniji planet Sunčeva sustava, utječe na nestabilnost Zemljine orbite. Sustav triju tijela koji čine Sunce, Jupiter i Zemlja su analizirani kroz simulaciju napravljenu u programskom jeziku C čiji konačni rezultat za zadane početne uvjete daje putanje sva tri tijela. Pokazalo se da povećanje Jupiterove mase dovodi do sve većih nestabilnosti Zemljine orbite. Kada bi Jupiter imao približno jednaku masu kao Sunce, Zemlja bi bila izbačena iz sustava nepovratno u svemir.
Abstract (english)
If the Solar System consisted only of the Sun and Earth, Earth’s orbit would be completely stable. Existence of other planets in the System causes turbulences and instability of the Earth’s orbit. The main objective is to analyse the effect of Jupiter, as the most massive planet in the System, on the Earth’s orbit. The three body system consisted of the Sun, Jupiter and Earth is analysed trough the simulation made in programing language C. The result for given initial conditions are orbits of three bodies. It is shown that Jupiter’s mass growth causes increased instability of Earth’s orbit. If the Jupiter had about the same mass as the Sun, the Earth would be thrown out of the System.
