Abstract
Bežmek, Uranoscopus scaber (Linnaeus, 1758) je jedini predstavnik porodice Uranoscopidae u Jadranskom moru. Zabilježen je u kanalima sjeveroistočnog i srednjeg Jadrana kao i u području otvorenog Jadrana. Jedinke bežmeka za ovo istraživanje ulovljene su u razdoblju od svibnja do kolovoza 2018. godine na području srednjeg Jadrana. Raspon ukupne dužine tijela analiziranih jedinki iznosio je od 15,1 cm do 29,2 cm, a masa od 54 do 479 g. Srednja dužina tijela iznosi 20,52, a srednja masa 154, 31 g. Makroskopskom i mikroskopskom analizom gonada utvrđeno je da se mrijest odvija od lipnja do kolovoza. Mikroskopska analiza gonada ženki je potvrdila postojanje pet različitih faza razvoja oocita: kromatin nukleolus i perinukleolus faza, kortikoalveolarna faza, rana i kasna vitelogeneza i stadij migracije jezgre. Raspon dobivene vrijednosti fekunditeta je bio od 7315 do 80802, dok je srednja vrijednost fekunditeta iznosila 26798,2.
Abstract (english)
Atlantic stargazer, Uranoscopus scaber (Linnaeus, 1758) is the only representative of the Uranoscopidae family in the Adriatic Sea. It is recorded in the northeastern and central Adriatic channels as well as in the open Adriatic area. Fish samples for this research are collected from May to August 2018 in the Middle Adriatic area. The total body length of the analyzed individuals was 15.1 cm to 29.2 cm, and the weight was 54 to 479 g. The average body length was 20,52 and the average mass 154,31 g. The spawn is from June to August. Microscopic analysis of female gonads confirmed the existence of five different stages of oocyte development: chromatin nucleolar and perinucleolar phase, corticoalveolar phase, early and late vitelogenesis, and the stage of migration of the nucleus. The range values of fecundity was from 7315 to 80802, while the average value for fecundity was 26798.2.
