Abstract
Oko je jedan od najdragocjenijih i najfascinantnijih organa jer preko njega primamo većinu informacija iz okoline. Omogućuje svjesnu percepciju svjetla – vid - koji omogućuje razlikovanje boja i percepciju dubine. Svjetlost pada na mrežnicu te su za ispunjenje njene uloge zaslužni fotoreceptori: štapići koji su osjetljivi na svjetlost i tako omogućuju vid i u slabijim svjetlosnim uvjetima i čunjići koje se aktiviraju pri danjem svjetlu i omogućuju razlikovanje boja. Kroz ovaj rad ćemo demonstrirati kako raspodjela čunjića i štapića na mrežnici ima bitne posljedice za vid. Iako je broj čunjića višestruko manji od broja štapića njihova gustoća se povećava prema centru fovee što nam omogućuje da po danjoj svjetlosti predmete možemo vidjeti oštro. Štapića nema u fovei te zbog toga predmet u mraku vidimo bolje ako nismo fokusirani na njega. TakoĎer, tri tipa čunjića imaju različite prostorne raspodjele: plavi su duž mrežnice i van fovee, a zeleni i crveni su uglavnom skoncentrirani u fovei.
Abstract (english)
An eye is one of the most precious and most fascinating organs. It provides a conscious perception of light - vision - which allows color differentiation and depth perception. The light falls on retina where photoreceptors are placed: light-sensitive rods, enabling sight in bad light conditions and cons that activate in daylight and allow color differentiation. Through this thesis we will demonstrate how distribution of rods and cons on retina has important consequences for sight. Although the number of cones is smaller than the number of rods, their distribution increases towards the center of the fovea and that is why our vision is acuate. There are no rodes in fovea and therefore we see subjects in the dark better if we are not focused on them. Also, there are three types of cones: blue are along the retina and not on fovea, while green and red are mostly concentrated on fovea.
